1. Professional Development for Educators (45 hours )
Upon satisfactory completion of projects and passing grades on exams, teachers will receive a certificate with
recognition as a Certified Technology Educator and 4.5 CEU's.
Teachers who complete 30 hours of Professional Development would receive the certificate and 3 CEU's.
2. Technology Essentials:
The certification program will be able to (a) Adults who
are non-educators, (b) High school students, and (c) Advanced students in the Learning Centers.

complete all requirements will receive a Certificate of Computer Mastery and 4.5 CEU's.
Phase II ( 45 hours ). Students who successfully
complete all requirements will receive a Certificate of Advanced Studies and 4.5 CEU's.
Attached to each certificate will be a syllabus on
line describing the course content. Students who wish to use their certificate to qualify
for a job or to apply for credit at an educational institution should submit the syllabus outline along
with the certificate. This opportunity affords an individual a hard copy
technology certificate documenting professional
growth, and a recorded verification of completion that is maintained in the University's Continuing
Education Operating Office. For educators and other professionals, a
certificate and permanent transcript of hours of
training and CEU's may be useful for licensure, promotion, rectification purposes, or employment.
For graduating High School students, the ODU Certification CEU's may fulfill a university's
requirements for computer education. Students entering a university can submit their
certificate, the accompanying course description and, if required, their transcript from
ODU, for consideration as university credit and/or exemption from a required technology course. Students can
request their transcript from ODU at any time.
